Ir. Abd Rashid Md Sidek


He graduated in 1983 with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and immediately joined SHELL in Miri Sarawak working on their Offshore Production Platforms. He left SHELL in 1987 and worked with Brown & Root and Technip in their Kuala Lumpur offices until 1998. He tried his hands in running his own business for two years before joining Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd in year 2000 and has since held the position of Executive Director. His career covers Project Management, Engineering Design, Procurement and Construction supervision in both upstream and downstream sectors of the Oil & Gas Industry. Ir Rashid received his FELLOW from IEM in 2011.

Dato’ Ir. Suhaili Idrus

Vice President

Dato' Suhaili Idrus spent 29 years in the downstream and midstream oil & gas industry mainly with Shell in marketing oil products and chemicals, supply trading, gas to liquids, LNG and transformation. He also spent a year with Iskandar Regional Development Authority as Director Integrated Planning and Social Development and four years in PEMANDU, Prime Ministers' Dept. as Director Urban Public Transport and Greater KL. He spent the last five years of a long career at AECOM Malaysia where he was Senior Vice President for Business Development. He qualified as a mechanical engineer from UMIST, Manchester and earned an MBA from University Malaya. He is a Fellow of Chartered Management Institute (UK), Fellow of Institution of Mechanical Engineering (UK) and Member Institute of Engineers Malaysia.

En Rusihan Bin Ruslan


Rusihan Bin Ruslan has been the Senior Market Analyst of Technip Geoproduction (M) Sdn Bhd since 2013. Previously he has served as the Corporate Planner and Business Analyst of the same company since 2003. He held various positions at Golden Pharos Berhad for 5 years from 1998 to 2003 including Accountant and Assistant Manager for Corporate Services. He started his career as Audit Assistant at Arthur Andersen & Co in 1994. Rusihan is both Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 2002. He received an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from MARA Institute of Technology, Shah Alam in 1993.

Ir. Razmahwata Mohd Razalli

Razmahwata b Mohamad Razalli is an Associate Process Safety Consultant to MECIP Global Engineers Sdn. Bhd. He is also the Lead Engineer at IGL Solutions Sdn. Bhd. He graduated with a MEng from Cambridge University. He has over 20 years in the Malaysian Oil & Gas industry, in operations, engineering and consulting roles.

Ir. Ahmad Nazari b. Ashari

He graduated in 1982 with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Ir. Ahmad Nazari is the co-founder and Chairman of MECIP Global Engineers Sdn Bhd & MECIP (M) Sdn Bhd.

Ir. Dr. Christina Phang

Executive Committee

Dr. Christina Phang is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), UK. She has 25 years’ experience in safety engineering and risk management, predominantly in providing advice to the oil and gas sector and is the Managing Partner of ERM’s Global Risk practice in Asia Pacific. Dr. Christina is also an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in Malaysia.

Ir. Dr. Torkil Ganendra

Dr. Torkil Ganendra has over 25 years of experience in the consulting engineering profession including 19 years in oil & gas with Aker Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd where he is currently is the Director. He has a PhD from Imperial College London University and is the Corporate Member of IEM and registered Professional Member with BEM.

Pn. Bahiyatul Nazarah

Since graduation in July 1987, Bahiyatul has been working for 29 years in Oil Gas and Petrochemical Industry. She started her career in January 1988 with Cegelec Malaysia Sdn Bhd as a Procurement Engineer and developed her career as Procurement Manager. Presently working with RNZ Integrated (M) Sdn Bhd since November 2004.

Ir. Dr. Ragunath Barath

Dr. Ragunath Bharath is a Managing Director of Innovative Fluid Process Sdn. Bhd. Since Sept 2001. Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan (Year 1993) – under the Japanese Government Scholarship. Started as Process Engineer at Chiyoda Corporation in Yokohama. Returned to Malaysia in year 2000 and joined OGP Technical Services, a PETRONAS group company as Principal for Process Engineering.

Zahrol Ahmad starts his business with CCI Logistic (M) Sdn Bhd more than 15 years ago, a joint venture with Korean Company. Then later he develops a new company of his own called Cargomind which specialize in International Freight Forwarding. Through his steadfast endurance and effort, he is able to compete well among the best players in the industry. His continuous and holistic approach in enhancing smart partnership among the authorities and logistic main players remain as his core vision. He is now appointed as Marketing Director in MECIP Global Engineers Sdn Bhd.

Ir. Nor Azahar Abdul Razak

He started his career in Oil & Gas industry with Sime Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in 1994 as Instrument & Control Engineer, and he has committed in this line of profession which has brought him to various high level position from Lead Engineer to Engineering Manager.  He is also the lead assessor for Yayasan Sime Darby scholarship.  In 2012, he joins Wood Group Mustang (M) Sdn. Bhd. as Instrument & Control Engineer then progressed to Lead Engineer and Director/Head of Engineering.  He is currently the Director – Business Development & Strategic Planning for Wood Group.  He is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate with Board of Engineers Malaysia. 

Ts. Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha

Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha received her Bachelor of Electrical and Engineering degree (BEng(Hons)) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Nottingham University, England.
She began her career as an Instrument Engineer in Sime Engineering Sdn Bhd in 1990 before moving to Project Management discipline, with MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd in 1995. Her experiences encompasses Project Engineering experiences to Project Manager of different types of Oil & Gas contracts before assuming her current position as CEO in MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd.
In her 29 years in the oil & gas industry, she have been involved in projects ranging from Conceptual, FEED, Detailed, Fabrication/Construction and Hookup and Commissioning, EPCC and EPCIC projects locally and also outside of Malaysia.
She has actively served on the council of the Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC) for 9 years, serving as an elected EXCO for the 2010/2012 tenure, Vice President for 2 terms, 2012/2014 and 2014/2016 and currently the elected President for her 2nd term for year 2018/2020. MOGSC is an NGO serving the Oil & Gas industry, bridging the gap between industry and stakeholders needs and expectation. MOGSC has currently over 500 members from the whole supply chain of the Malaysian Oil & Gas industry.
She was also nominated in 2017, by Amazons Watch Magazine/CELD (Centre for Economic and Leadership Development) to be on of the Top 50 Female Energy Leaders in Emerging Economies (Asia/Africa). Currently, she is a board member of the Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT), an organisation that is responsible to accredit technologist and technicians in Malaysia. She is also appointed to the Majlis Penasihat & Perunding Wanita (MPPW), under the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia for term 2018/2020 to advise, provide feedback and promote women empowerment in Malaysia.

En Muhammad Shahrir Zubir

He graduated with Mechanical Engineering Degree with Honors from USM. He began his career as a Project Engineer in MMC Engineering Services ( Gas Sector ) in 1995. He is also registered with EC as gas engineering supervisor. He was involved in all phases of onshore projects from business development, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning including role as project manager and procurement manager as well as  BD Manager. He is currently the General; Manager Business Development for Ranhill WorleyParsons since 2012  covering both domestic and international market for the location. 

Mr Kirk Jean Belian

After graduating in 2006 from ESTIA Bordeaux (France) with a Mechanical and Fluid engineering degree, he worked in Germany (Karlsruhe) on the Design and Installation of the cooling system of a Particle Accelerator (Cyclotron) for the pharmaceutical industry.

Back to France, he opened COBRA HEATING by engineering, designing, manufacturing and installing heat-pumps and thermal solar systems. After gaining experience he became one of the leading consultants in the power generation renewable energies around Europe. He worked for several companies around the globe such as SIEMENS, STATOIL, ELYO SUEZ, SULZER,... in scopes like offshore wind turbine farms, hydro-power generation, nuclear,...

He is now Chief Technology Officer in Elektro Serve Sdn Bhd and takes care of big projects to give solutions where there is no solutions in Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Transport, and military...

He initiated a JV with a French heavy rotating equipment manufacturer (JEUMONT ELECTRIC)under MIDA to open an Electrical rotating equipment brand and manufacture in Paka Terengganu, the first of its kind in ASEAN. EJM (Elektroserve Jeumont Malaysia) is now able to manufacture in house High Voltage Motors and Generators of all kinds of industry."
